“Everybody Dance” Debuts for Disability Awareness Month on PBS SoCal + KCET

Children Learn Ballet in Heart-Warming Story ‘Everybody Dance’ Airing on PBS SoCal and KCET this March for Disability Awareness Month

New Documentary Showcases How Ballet Has Changed the Lives of Southern California Children with Disabilities

Los Angeles, Calif. – Feb. 8, 2023 – PBS SoCal and KCET, Southern California’s flagship PBS stations, announced today the broadcast premiere of EVERYBODY DANCE. The film explores the lives of five Southern California kids with disabilities, and their dance teacher, as they prepare for an emotional end-of-year dance recital. The film will premiere locally in Southern California on Wed., Mar. 15 at 8 p.m. on KCET. It will also air the following week on Fri., Mar. 24 at 8 p.m. on PBS SoCal.

EVERYBODY DANCE explores the everyday life of kids with different disabilities and how ballet has changed their lives. Dance is an empowering and equalizing force that offers children a way to feel capable and in control, teaching them discipline, focus, and social skills. EVERYBODY DANCE explores the daily lives of a group of remarkable children along with the challenges, obstacles and exhilaration that all kids feel. As they prepare for a dance recital, the film follows their inspiring journey of self-discovery, dedication, achievement and dance.
