Desert Legends Golf was inspired by the Dinah Shore Golf Weekend which grew into one of the largest lesbian events nationally.
Palm Springs, CA –As both Media Partner and co-producer of Desert Legends 2026, The Hollywood Times is proud to spotlight one of this year’s most inspiring honorees, Sweet Baby J’ai, an award-winning vocalist, storyteller, and activist whose impact on the Palm Springs arts community runs deep.
Co-producers Jennifer Corday and Valerie Milano bring both heart and hustle to this year’s event. Blending Corday’s creative vision with Milano’s extensive public relations expertise and deep community ties, the Desert Legends golf tournament continues to grow as a “small but mighty” arm of the larger Desert Legends weekend, proving once again that passion, perseverance, and partnership make all the difference.
This year, The L-Fund is the proud beneficiary of the tournament, and Desert Legends is committed to doing right by this vital organization. In support, The L-Fund will provide 12–13 volunteers on tournament day, allowing longtime supporters Bev and Maryalice the chance to enjoy the course. Additional logistical support ensures a smooth, joyful experience for all participants.
Adding extra fun and flair to the day, Trusted Investigations, represented by Jenn and Char, will offer giveaways and an interactive on-course game, giving golfers additional chances to win raffle tickets throughout play.

Following play, guests will enjoy a luncheon, awards ceremony, and prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams, along with a light-hearted award for “Most Likely to Improve.”
An official tournament flyer is now available to help secure raffle prizes and silent auction items. With supporters spread across the region, organizers are happy to coordinate individual pick-ups or meet after a round of golf.
