Country Music Legend Randy Travis is bringing his 2026 “More Life Tour” to select dates around the country.  Officially kicking off in March, some of those dates include stops in St. Louis, MO, Lake Charles, LA, Beverly Hills, CA, and in Georgetown, Texas at the Two Step Inn Festival at San Gabriel Park Sunday, April 19th . Rising Country music singer James Dupré will be performing with Travis’s original band while the music icon will showcase his presence on stage. Speaking more about the tour, Dupré gives us insight, “A lot of people don’t know what to expect, because this show is very unique. It’s not really a tribute show as Randy is there on stage but it’s more like a live documentary which is the best way I can describe it,” Dupré  said. Adding, “We obviously do all of his number one hits, but in between songs there’s a lot of video involved, and clips of his interviews, movies, and TV shows, and things that he’s done throughout his career. So it’s sort of a celebration of the legacy and the career of a country music legend.”

Since Travis suffered his stroke in 2013, he has been steadily back in the public eye but is limited when it pertains to performing. For this tour, Travis will be accompanied by his wife Mary as they will be on stage during the event. Mary’s presence brings a personal layer to the experience, highlighting the couple’s partnership through Travis’s health challenges and comeback. “Some people are a little skeptical because it’s not Randy singing, and I completely understand that, but it’s a lot more than just that. It’s a celebration of his legacy and his career,” Dupré added. For Dupré himself, who hails from Bayou Chicot, Louisiana he first gained notoriety on YouTube back in 2007 which led to an appearance on the Ellen show and then eventually “The Voice,” in 2015. Dupré initially met Travis in 2012, and they have since collaborated on film and in music. Dupré also released his latest album “It’s All Happening” in 2025, and is currently working on a new project at the moment.

Dupré credits Vince Gill and Randy for his musical influence, “Those two really were the ones that first made me want to become a singer, so I really studied their music and became a big fan. Obviously, later on in life, I didn’t realize how much they influenced the way I sing and the way I approach a song and write music, but they remain my two biggest musical influences.”
