Hollywood, CA (The Hollywood Times) June 4, 2023 – What better way to start National Donut Day than with a freshly made donut accompanied by a cup of coffee or milk? Well, you can get just that at Danny Trejo’s very own Trejo’s Coffee and Donut. Located on Santa Monica Blvd in Los Angeles, the shop is rather easy to find as the building itself is vibrant pink, not hard to miss. The actor opened his business in May 2017, and there you can pick and choose from a variety of delicious flavors, each with its own unique name.
For National Donut Day, Pop Popcorn teamed up with Trejo to create Cookie Pop, Candy Pop, and Cereal Pop-inspired flavors, for a limited time. The four new flavors are Nutter Butter, Sour Patch Kids, Fruity Pebbles, and Oreo Pop Donuts.
The pastries are decorated with glaze and popcorn bits, with a few of them having extra colorful glaze drizzled on top to celebrate Pride month.
Truly a delicious creation. Once you take a bite out of the confection, you can tell that it was made with love.
After you’ve had a donut for breakfast (or a few), you can make a trip to Trejo’s Tacos located on La Brea Ave in Los Angeles. Or you can purchase one of his cookbooks and make the food at home along with some margarita drinks.
Danny Trejo was excitedly greeted by fans at his shop to promote his donuts and did not shy away from taking pictures.
Trejo’s Coffee and Donuts hours are Sundays through Saturdays from seven in the morning to four in the afternoon.
Trejo’s Tacos hours are Sundays through Thursdays from eleven in the morning to nine at night, while on Friday’s and Saturday’s they close an hour later at ten at night.
