The Brinkema Brothers partnered with producer and actor Patrick Dempsey to bring the feature to Peacock. A longtime skier himself and an admirer of Jessie Diggins, Dempsey expressed a personal connection to the project. Threshold premieres on Monday, February 23, 2026.

Diggins, now 34, has announced that she will retire following the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan–Cortina, which will also stream on Peacock.

Diggins’ story about reclaiming her health unfolds, being a reigning two-time World Champion and the most decorated American cross-country skier. As a mental health advocate seeking to inspire those living in silence, she has earned the reputation of never quitting.

Over her 15-year career she has won everything there is to ski, despite the struggle in overcoming her disorder. This year, she will compete in six events to not only reclaim but further her legacy.

Born in Minnesota, Torsten has two award-winning short films in his experience. As the director and executive producer, he aims to synchronize his pre-existing relationship with skiing and the documentary to creatively recognize himself as a Brooklyn-based artist. His brother and collaborator, Lars, living in Los Angeles, is drawn to intimate, character-driven stories like Diggins’ inspiring narrative in Threshold
