Boss Talks is the fast-growing community of passion-fueled, tech-powered women entrepreneurs

By Jules Lavallee

Los Angeles, California (The Hollywood Times) 06/19/2020 –  Founders of Boss Talks, Hillary Gadsby and Wendi Boyden learned at an early age that the power of connections is key to success. Their powerful network gives Bosses everything that they need to be successful in ONE place for an affordable price.

Boss Talks is the fast-growing community of passion-fueled, tech-powered women entrepreneurs. What led you to launch Boss Talks?

At an early age and during our careers, we both learned the power of connection and the key role it plays in women’s professional success. Hillary began a speaker series in Los Angeles in 2014 that featured successful female entrepreneurs telling their stories of failures and successes, as well as a space for women to connect with each other and create opportunities. Many success stories were born out of those events, including that of Nicci Levy, Founder of cosmetic micro-treatment enterprise Alchemy 43, who secured her first investor, Toni Ko, founder of NYX cosmetics, when Toni was the featured speaker at the event and who Nicci was able to connect with as an attendee. Through her 23-year corporate career as an attorney and insurance executive, Wendi experienced the utter lack of women mentors available to help develop and shape the careers of young women and was passionate about empowering her women colleagues and direct reports to talk about their challenges and turning what they saw as weaknesses into strengths.

Both of our paths crossed in 2019 when we were introduced through a mutual friend, and began talking about the differences that we were both making in connecting and mentoring women business leaders, and that we wanted to play bigger and needed to take our efforts not only national but global. Through gradually connecting with other women entrepreneurs in several other cities across the country and globally who were equally passionate about creating opportunities for and supporting other women in their businesses, we were able to launch and grow Boss Talks network across the U.S. and Canada.

How is Boss Talks helping women to break the six-figure barrier?

Less than 2% of women-owned businesses in the U.S. have broken the 6 figure barrier.  Less than 2%.  Our mission is to increase that percentage significantly. Our quarterly trainings and monthly events are focused on developing our members not only as business owners but as 7-figure business owners. Women who run 6+ figure businesses have certain mindsets, skills, connections, and mentorship that have gotten them to where they are, and that is what we are providing to our members.

Share key features that women who are starting a new business or have an existing business will benefit from the Boss Talks membership.

There are many women entrepreneurs who want to start and/or scale their businesses but feel lost and missing community especially working from home through the pandemic. Starting and scaling your business entails retaining coaches and other experts that can run you into the hundreds if not thousands of dollars. These women are so overwhelmed with options that they don’t know where to start and feel exhausted, drained, and disconnected. They join the Boss Talks network to get everything that they need to be successful in ONE place for an affordable price. They join Boss Talks to feel inspired, driven, and supported by a community of like-minded women entrepreneurs in 8 cities in the U.S. and Canada who have their back. They join Boss Talks for the resources, templates, amazing intimate talks with women leaders that are going to help them build their brand, and to network with women who are just like them and help each other get on the success path and to break that 6 figure barrier.

Your renowned and award-winning women entrepreneurs are offering something very special to your members. Tell us more.

Absolutely. There are four key areas of entrepreneurship – business coaching, mindset & leadership, visibility & public relations, and business process organization. We provide our members with both monthly events and quarterly trainings focused on those key areas. Our quarterly trainings are led by our panel of hand-picked experts, namely Bri Seeley, who is the #1 Google-rated entrepreneur coach and member of Forbes Coaches Council and leads our business coaching training; Tracy Litt, who is a mindset teacher to women entrepreneurs and business leaders, sought after keynote speaker, TEDx speaker, and international best-selling author, leads our mindset and leadership training; Ashley Crouch, award-winning visibility strategist, best-selling author and founder of Appleseed Communications, leads our visibility & public relations training; and Jane Stoller, founder of Organized Jane, an expert on streamlining business processes in order to increase your productivity and income.

In addition to our quarterly trainings, we also hold monthly digital events (which will also be live when we can begin having them again) that either feature an hour-long fireside chat with a highly successful women entrepreneur sharing her own incredible journey to teach and inspire us, or teaching a masterclass on a key entrepreneurial skill.

What excites you the most about the Boss Talks network? What makes your platform stand out from the rest?

That we are making a positive difference in the lives of both current and future women business leaders by putting them on their paths to smashing the 6 figure barrier and to develop their struggles into 7 figure success stories. What makes our platform unique is the more personalized approach we take to mentoring and connecting women, and to create a community where members truly engage with and support each other. Many similar organizations put on events where the speakers merely talk at you and you are one of more than 100+ people attending so there’s very little to no personal interaction. For some, the founders make the community all about them, and there’s little engagement with their members to create a true feeling of community. We wanted to do things differently. Our events and training sessions are conducted in a casual, small group setting with speakers who want to connect individually with their listeners. We put our members first by spotlighting them and their businesses, and via our membership platform encourage them to engage and collaborate with each other and talk about their needs, challenges, successes, to connect with each other on a deeper level and create that true feeling of community.

Boss Talks network is… (finish the sentence.)

A movement of women business leaders thriving and committed to paving the way for other women-owned businesses to smash the 6 figure barrier.
