Billy Idol isn’t dancing with himself anymore

By Tequila Mockingbird

Hollywood CA (The Hollywood Times) 1/6/23 – Welcome to Billy Idol Day. Never was a day more perfect to don your leather jacket and give a rebel yell as Billy Idol received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of Amoeba Records.

Billy was part of the original Bromley contingent hanging out with the Sex Pistols and Suzi Sioux in the first generations of punk rock and crossing over through sticking to his guns and playing the hard Rock magic that he embodies.
Pick up a copy of Billy’s book Dancing with Myself filled with debauchery and rockstar statis. Billy’s music cools up decades after its initial performances. Rock is in his DNA according to Henry Rollins – he gets it in integrity, or his middle name Billy said he could never imagine himself on the same street as all the stars he admired as a child. Billy said something I remember about punk rock the world was suddenly no longer black and white it became color.

There to watch him receive the star was Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols, Henry Rollins of Black Flag, Artist Shepherd Fairy, Billy’s son Villiam and more of his family including the grandchildren. The photographer screamed give us that famous fist pump and he did.
