BILLY F GIBBONS LIVEWIRE SOLO ACT IS BRINGING THE HEAT WITH 20 EUROPEAN TOUR DATES THIS JUNE/JULY
Billy F Gibbons returns for a sonic romp with 20 massive shows through Europe with his unusual trio, “The BFG’s,” featuring the supporting talents from John Douglas, touring drummer for Aerosmith on drums/percussion and the Austin Hanks guitar wizardry in the lineup.
Austin Hanks brings his weirdly unorthodox upside down and backwards guitar style alongside Douglas, a longstanding friend with ZZ Top, lending solid backbeats to the group as Matt Sorum makes temporary leave attending to important family matters at home.
Gibbons commented, “Matt’s my long-standing pal and consummate professional, and we can’t say enough how much we dig working and touring together. Matt’s short leave from the Europe dates called upon wrangling the work with our good friend, John Douglas, to join this Euro adventure with the BFG outfit as he exclaimed, “Hell yeah, I’m in!’”
Billy F Gibbons announced this renewal of his livewire solo band, to appear at select European venues late spring and early summer of 2023. The band delivers their infamous ultimate loudness leaning on that notorious heavy bottom and backbeat rhythms for the ensemble.
