N. Logan, UT (The Hollywood Times) 12/14/25 – Entertainers and medical heroes came together on December 11 to bring underserved youth something that will not be found in Santa’s sleigh: the hope of proper dental care.

Held at the Beverly Hilton, the evening marked the inaugural gala of the Giving a Smile Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing no-cost dental services to young people in need.

Six-time Emmy Award-winning actor Kelsey Grammer served as master of ceremonies, helping to rally support for the Foundation during the event. In an interview with The Hollywood Times President and Publisher Valerie Milano, Grammer spoke passionately about the importance of community service and access to care. That interview prompted objections from a small number of readers who cited the actor’s outspoken political views.

Such reactions invite reflection on the words of Abraham Lincoln, who often navigated complex personalities and divisive times. Lincoln observed that “almost no issue or person is wholly good or evil,” urging Americans to seek the “preponderance of good” when judging people and events.

For the families of the youth who will benefit from the Giving a Smile Foundation’s mission, the good achieved that evening was clear. On their behalf, The Hollywood Times extends its gratitude to all those who stepped forward to support a cause rooted in compassion, dignity, and care for children in need.
