The 26th annual Beverly Hills Film Festival officially opened this week in Beverly Hills, launching a seven-day celebration of international cinema with a polished red carpet and a strong showing from filmmakers, actors, and industry insiders.

Screenings are shown at the iconic Chinese Theater and Ovation Hollywood Theater. Now in its 26th year, the festival has expanded to include 450 films from more than 65 countries, underscoring its growing influence as a global platform for both emerging and established voices in film.

The energy on the carpet reflected that scope. Filmmakers arrived alongside actors and creatives representing projects across genres, from documentaries to narrative features and experimental work. Conversations leaned toward collaboration, distribution, and the evolving nature of global storytelling, a theme echoed throughout the festival’s programming.
Festival founder Nino Simone has long positioned the event as both a discovery platform and a gathering space for industry veterans. That balance was evident on opening night, where newer filmmakers shared space with recognizable names and long-standing industry figures.
Among this year’s featured projects are Sock It to Me: The Legend of George Schlatter, Boris Is Dead, and Eddie Cochran: Don’t Forget Me, alongside a wide range of international selections that highlight the diversity of voices shaping contemporary cinema.
Screenings and events throughout the week are taking place at TCL Chinese Theatres, with additional panels, networking events, and outdoor programming reinforcing Beverly Hills’ role as both backdrop and cultural engine for the film community.

The festival will culminate in its annual black-tie Awards Gala, where standout films and filmmakers will be recognized for excellence. Until then, the schedule remains packed with premieres, conversations, and industry gatherings designed to foster connection and spotlight bold new work.
For attendees and industry professionals the Beverly Hills Film Festival continues to evolve, balancing classic Hollywood polish with an increasingly global and forward-looking perspective.
