Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 5/21/25 – It’s not every day that an 18-year-old makes her festival debut on one of the country’s most celebrated stages—but Bella Rayne isn’t just any 18-year-old. With a guitar in hand, a psychedelic jam-band behind her, and a raw, soulful energy that channels rock legends and jam icons alike, Bella is quickly making a name for herself—starting with her first-ever appearance at BottleRock Napa Valley 2025.

Fresh off another festival and celebrating her birthday today, Bella joined me for a conversation that was laid-back and thoughtful about her music. Her blend of talent, curiosity, and fearless individuality marks her as one to watch in the next wave of genre-defying young artists.
Despite years of hearing about BottleRock, Bella deliberately waited to experience the festival. “We’ve held off on even going,” she says. “I’ve been saying for years, ‘Oh, we’ve got to go to BottleRock,’ and now it’s finally happening—for real, and on stage.”
She’s particularly looking forward to the Sunday lineup, where friends and favorites like Aggies and Goose will take the stage. “There are so many great bands I’m looking forward to seeing,” she says. “And all that amazing food—I’ve heard good things!”
For years, Bella sat in with other artists and bands, gaining a reputation as a versatile guitarist and collaborator. But BottleRock marks her debut leading her own band, and she’s bringing a fully formed sound that’s as unexpected as it is authentic.
“We’ve got a killer jam-band-style, psychedelic set planned,” she reveals. “It’s a whole new vibe for me.”
Expect surprises—including a bold reinterpretation of Bob Dylan’s “Maggie’s Farm”, transformed into what Bella describes as a “jam-heavy, gritty rock tune.” It’s a clear signal that this rising artist is not afraid to take risks and put her own spin on the classics.
Bella’s path to music hasn’t been linear. She picked up the guitar just three years ago during the pandemic and fell hard for ‘90s Seattle grunge—a far cry from her current jam-forward sound. “That edge still comes through in my playing,” she says. “But I’ve learned from so many different bands. I’m into bluegrass, psychedelic rock, all of it.”
Now, with the festival a forefront and the summer ahead, Bella is stepping into a new creative phase: writing her own material. “I never saw myself as a singer-songwriter,” she admits, “but I’m taking time off after BottleRock to really dive into writing. I love it—whatever works, I’m exploring it.”
Despite the high-energy nature of her set, Bella has one quiet ritual she never skips. “I always take a minute before I go on stage, whether it’s my band or someone else’s,” she says. “I just need a moment to myself to collect my thoughts.”
It’s a glimpse into the reflective mind behind the rock ‘n’ roll exterior—an artist who respects the moment, the music, and the audience.
As her profile rises, Bella is making it easy for fans to connect. You can follow her on Instagram and Facebook at @bella_rayne, and check out her latest updates and music at www.bellaraynerock.com.
Bella Rayne is still at the beginning of her story, but with a fearless style, a reverence for the greats, and a stage presence that’s all her own, she’s already proving she belongs. At BottleRock and beyond, she’s not just finding her voice—she’s using it.
