My love for writing began in elementary school when my English teacher asked me to read what I had written in front of the class. I stood up, read aloud, and from then on, I wanted to become a Writer. My ambition started as a transfer student to California State University at Northridge. After the Northridge quake in 1996, I became Valley View News Producer for a college-crafted news show. During my time, we garnered media attention when former KKK leader David Duke came as a speaker on campus, and I covered what today would be considered a viral event. Upon graduating, I worked briefly as a Background performer on some top television shows and movies; I took time away to raise children, yet my goal continued to uplift and command a constant passion for writing news stories and working as an Independent Journalist, shedding light on impactful events in our underserved communities. Today, I have a first-draft screenplay titled "South Central Love” detailing actual events in my life; I finished a feature script called "State of No Return about the political climate of today. As well as a coming-of-age novel in the works.
