Javier has always had an interest in cinema and the arts. After dropping out of economics in university he pursued a double degree in Journalism and Audiovisual Communications in Madrid. Where he specialized himself in Hayao Miyazaki's works as a filmmaker as his final thesis. He has since taken a deeper approach at filmmaking, pursuing an MFA in Filmmaking at the New York Film Academy in the Miami campus and currently in the Los Angeles campus. But even as a filmmaker he still keeps his journalist side deep into his heart often thinking about covering big events for The Hollywood Times to get the best from both worlds.
