CYBILL SHEPHERD

“QUEEN OF THE LUCKY CLUB”

COMES TO

PALM SPRINGS CULTURAL CENTER

SATURDAY NOV 22

Palm Springs, CA – CYBILL SHEPHERD, Emmy Award-nominee & Golden Globe-winning Actress & Singer, brings her new show QUEEN OF THE LUCKY CLUB to the Palm Springs Cultural Center on SAT, NOV 22nd at 7:00PM. *Special Meet & Greet begins at 5:30PM.

If Luck be a lady, that lady is the lovely Cybill Shepherd. Looks that made her a model. Talent that made her a name. Charm that made her a superstar. And a love of music she’s had since she was a little girl that gave her a voice. It’s a side of Cybill you may not know but a side you’ll fall in love with.

Before she won our hearts on both the small and silver screens, Cybill was just a southern belle born in Tennessee singing in the church choir. Her Memphis roots gave her the gift of Blues, Pop, and Jazz, and her voice will wrap you up in warmth, love, and a smile. Cybill graciously shares the soundtrack of her life, the magic of Memphis music, and how she came to be Queen of the Lucky Club.

In this new special presentation, Ms. Shepherd will share important scenes from her film and television career, never-before-seen video clips, and discuss what was happening and who was involved, share candid stories, perform music from her career and jazz standards, and answer questions from the audience.

Music Directed by pianist SUNNIE PAXSON with her all-star band.

Presented by Chris Isaacson Presents.

About Cybill Shepherd:

Cybill Shepherd’s career began at a young age in modeling, when she won the “Miss Teenage Memphis” contest in 1966 and the “Model of the Year” contest in 1968. She became a fashion icon and went on to grace the cover of every major magazine, as well as famously act as spokesperson for L’Oreal. This led to her acting and on her screen debut in Peter Bogdanovich’s The Last Picture Show. Nominated for Most Promising Newcomer, Shepherd continued to build her film career with influential roles in The Heartbreak Kid and Taxi Driver. After taking a break in her career to have her first child, Clementine Ford, she returned to Hollywood in 1983, to make her television series debut in an episode of Fantasy Island. She went on to star with Bruce Willis in the highly recognized show, Moonlighting, and won Shepherd two Golden Globe Awards. Her third Golden Globe followed for her series, Cybill, with which she also took on a producer role.

Aside from the film industry, Shepherd has been an outspoken activist for issues such as gay rights and abortion rights. In 2009, she was honored by the Human Rights Campaign in Atlanta to accept one of two National Ally for Equality awards.
