With lyrics that reflect the journey from youthful carelessness to the sobering realization that true love requires vulnerability and resilience, Sam Grow’s rich soulful vocals perfectly complement the duo’s strong harmonies on “Heart Breaks You.”

“From the moment I heard this song I knew it was special,” remarked Sam Grow. “Not only have I lived it, but now being a dad to my daughters it makes you even more conscious of your decisions in young dating. To get the chance to team up with Boomtown Saints with Noah Gordon at the helm of production, I was so thankful for the opportunity. I hope everyone loves this song as much as I do.”

The new song showcases Grow’s soulful vocals and BoomTown Saints incredible harmonies. “Heart Breaks You” is a coming of age song about a guy who breaks hearts and takes names until it happens to him. Set for release on Average Joes  Entertainment/8 Track Entertainment on August 30, 2024, the song was written by #1 hit writers Houston Phillips, Connie Harrington and Josh Dunne, and produced by Colt Ford, Noah Gordon and Gary Kraen.

Commenting on the new single BoomTown Saints’ Chris Ramos said, “We have been excited about “Heart Breaks You” since we first heard it four years ago. When the opportunity arose to record it with an artist as talented as Sam Grow, we were both flattered and excited.”

“We have always felt that “Heart Breaks You” captures the essence of a moment in life that many people face that helps a boy become a man, and that is something that is extremely difficult to accomplish,” added the duo’s Ben Chism. “This song was masterfully penned by Connie Harrington, Josh Dunne, and Houston Phillips and spoke to us in a way that few other songs have.”

“HEART BREAKS YOU”

“Seventeen, yeah, you’re captain of the football team
Got your pick of a Homecoming Queen
Sweep her off her feet then it’s on to the next best thing
You think you’re something, don’t ya
Breaking hearts and taking names
You think it’s all just fun and games

‘Til a heart breaks YOU
And you’re ‘can’t sleep’ crazy
It hurts so bad drinkin’ don’t even phase ya
Can’t one night stand it, can’t don’t give a damn it
It’s just something that you gotta go through
Cause you can’t love somebody…I mean really love somebody
Like somebody really needs you to
‘Til a heart breaks YOU

You don’t know what it’s like to keep checking your phone
Not once or twice I’m talking all night long
Wonderin’ where you went wrong or if she’s really moved on
You think you’ll be alright and
She’s out with someone new
Buddy, you ain’t got a clue

You can’t love somebody…I mean really love somebody
Like somebody really needs you to

‘Til a heart breaks YOU
‘Til a heart breaks YOU
You can’t love somebody…I mean really love somebody
Like somebody really needs you to”

BoomTown Saints’ paths first crossed at a gig when they were both performing as solo artists. An immediate synergy between the two quickly developed and led to the formation of BoomTown Saints in 2018. The two initially pursued careers outside of music — Chris, as a healthcare consultant climbing the corporate ladder in the pharmaceutical industry, and Ben, who was headed to medical school after graduating with a degree in Biology on a full academic and baseball scholarship. After Ben won the regional Texas Country Showdown singing competition he went on to the Southeast USA contest and finished Top 10 in the nationwide event, the tide turned and he decided to take “music over medicine.” Likewise, after getting multiple cuts as a writer on albums ranging from pop, to country, to electronic music, Chris decided to pursue his dream in music and form a band.
