Country artist Anthony Bonnette releases “Lion Tamer,” a self-penned sultry ballad written about the passion between a man and a woman. This is the anticipated follow-up to “Lone Star Steel” and “Hey There Pretty Girl.” Born in Lone Star, Texas, Bonnette is best known for his song “Funny Man,” published by Bluewater Music, produced by Merle Haggard and Toby Keith, and covered by Rodney Carrington for Capitol Records Nashville in 2009. “Lion Tamer” is available on all digital music platforms HERE.

Bonnette states, “Lion Tamer is a commentary on rough hardened manly men and sweet, feminine girls and the magical thing that happens when you put them together. Strange how the soft can dominate, how the sweet can overpower the tough.”

The official video was captured at El Cerrito Lodge in  Diana, TX with and the characters are portrayed by actors, Monty and Alice Stanley. Watch the video on Anthony’s official artist YouTube Channel HERE.

“Anthony Bonnette’s “Lion Tamer” is another example of a great country song. It’s very difficult to write a love song that is vulnerable but not trite. Anthony has managed to present a timeless theme in a truly imaginative way. Do yourself a favor and check this song out.” shared Producer-Chad Mauldin.

A quote from Robert Duvall’s character, Hub, in Second Hand Lions was inspirational for the writing of this song. “I’ve won and lost a dozen fortunes, killed many men and loved only one woman with a passion a flea like you could never begin to understand.” Anthony shared “That’s a great line! And I’ve not done any of that except loved one woman my whole life.” Anthony shared “That’s a great line! And I’ve not done any of that except loved one woman my whole life.”
