The Hollywood Times -7/14/2025

They always say that God answers your prayers when you pray hard and long enough. As I have been reporting on various types of talent from behind the camera to on camera talent, I have learned that finding information that can help one move forward is a rarity especially from people of influence. But God has answered my endless questions on are their people out there who want others to achieve their goals and make their dream a reality and if so, how are they doing that? Well, my readers at The Hollywood Times – I discovered an up-and-coming Film Producer and established Author!

Her nonfiction true story satire, 60 dates in Six Months (with a Broken Neck) was seen in the New York Times Book review issue last year June 29, 2024, and now it is in post-production as a movie with a release date of Fall, 2025.   Meet this mother, lawyer and an Officer of the Court whose team advocates for people who encounter mental instability.  I will share with you some tips that Maureen gave me that helped her go forward when life threw her some awful curve balls.

Meet Maureen Anne Meehan, a multi-talented individual with a fascinating journey to share, from earning degrees in education to pursue a career in law and eventually becoming a judge, Maureen’s life took a dramatic turn when the tragic event of the murder of her legal assistant inspired her to create a word of legal thrillers. Hailing from the charming town of Sheridan, Wyoming, Maureen’s 19 novels are set against the backdrop of this picturesque State of Wyoming and the Rocky Mountains.

One of her latest novels, 60 Dates in Six Months (with a Broken Neck) is a true-life memoire satire that is now adapted to an award-winning script and is in post-production with a Fall, 2025 Romcom release. Her sequels, Push You Away and Let Me Be are slated to follow the #60 Dates Movie.

Her most recent novel is a parenting satire entitled Single Mom, No Manual Included and is in adaptation.

Josie Goldberg-THT (JG): What inspired you to write books and make movies out of them?

Maureen Meehan (MM): Becoming a producer was the natural next challenge.  I love to learn new craft, and after writing 23 novels, I felt that it was a natural fit to adapt my writing into script and then form my own production company for the creation of major motion pictures and streaming content.

JG: Can people contact you via social media for job inquiries, support or just ask questions?

MM: Absolutely.  I give interviews often, including with Kate Delaney, Logan Crawford, and more and appear on TV and radio regularly.

JG: How to protect yourself from going into a dark place of depression when life throws one a curve ball?

MM: When my husband passed away 11 years ago from a rare cancer, what kept me from going into that dark place was exercise, spiritual faith, family, friends, rescue kittens, and my desire to help others through my profession.  Having four teenagers was a motivation to show them how to recover from loss by healthy healing and living.

I was lucky enough to go visit the set of 60 Dates in Six Months (with a Broken Neck) and I was able to sit with Maureen and do an on-camera interview as well. You know I am “Only Josie Knows” and can’t help myself without asking a very personal question to Maureen Meehan and her dating life which was documented in her book and “60 Dates Movie”.  Maureen did give The Hollywood Times a spicy dating story that was left out of her book & movie for you, my readers. I also wanted to share that as Maureen Meehan adapts her books into feature films and has spots that become available during production, she told me that she will try to engage actors and extras with special needs, as she wants everyone to have the chance to make their dreams a reality.

I am “Only Josie Knows” and keep an eye out for this future Hollywood Female “POWERHOUSE”!
