Palm Springs, CA (The Hollywood Times) 4/5/26 – From April 2–5, 2026, the desert once again came alive with laughter, music, and meaningful connection as Desert Legends Women’s Weekend returned to Palm Springs for its 4th year, delivering four unforgettable days of celebration. Centered at Hotel Zoso and expanding across iconic venues including Agua Caliente Casino Palm Springs, Indian Canyons Golf Resort, and Paradise Pickleball, this year’s event fulfilled its promise of connection, community, and joy.

As co-producer alongside Jennifer Corday and representing The Hollywood Times as media partner, I had the privilege of experiencing every moment, from the first hello to the final goodbye.
Day 1 – Thursday: The Welcome That Set the Tone

The Meet & Greet in the Hotel Zoso lobby brought together women from across the country, many reconnecting and many meeting for the first time. With cocktails flowing, raffle prizes, and interactive games, the atmosphere was instantly warm and welcoming.

That evening transitioned into the Speakeasy Piano Bar with Roxanna Ward, where music, intimacy, and storytelling created a magical first night. It was the perfect blend of sophistication and fun, setting the emotional tone for the weekend ahead.
Day 2 – Friday: Sports, Laughter, and Giving Back

The day began at the Golf Tournament at Indian Canyons Golf Resort with 144 golfers where camaraderie and friendly competition thrived. The event wasn’t just about sport, it supported the L-Fund, reinforcing the weekend’s commitment to giving back.

Later, the energy shifted to the Cocktail Kickoff & Watch Party at Agua Caliente, where attendees gathered for drinks, NCAA Women’s Final Four basketball, raffles, and lively conversation.

The night culminated in the “Funny Gals” Comedy Show, a sold-out success filled with laughter and sharp wit at The Cascade Lounge – Agua Caliente Casino, Palm Springs. It was one of those evenings where you could feel the collective joy in the room; pure, unfiltered, and unforgettable.
Day 3 – Saturday: The Heart of Desert Legends

The Pickleball Tournament drew enthusiastic players and spectators alike, completely selling out across all skill levels.
Meanwhile, the Pool Party at Hotel Zoso transformed into the ultimate daytime celebration, infused with sunshine, laughter, and irresistible energy. With a DJ spinning an upbeat, feel-good soundtrack, the atmosphere was electric; drawing guests onto the dance floor and into the pool itself, where many happily danced for hours, fully immersed in the joy of the moment. From cornhole to poolside beer pong, every corner buzzed with playful competition and connection.
Comedian Vickie Shaw brought her Texas drawl, signature wit and charisma as host, effortlessly engaging the crowd in games, contests, and spontaneous moments of hilarity, including a memorable bit featuring the event’s lone straight male guest, who became the good-natured center of her jokes and took it all in stride. The pool deck was alive with laughter, camaraderie, and even a bit of shopping, as our colorful Desert Legends T-shirts found enthusiastic new owners throughout the afternoon.

That evening, everything built toward the sold-out Desert Legends Concert, headlined by Jennifer Corday with special guests Vicci Stewart. One of the many highlights was the presentation of the Desert Legends Award to Sweet Baby J’ai, honoring decades of leadership in women’s music and LGBTQ+ culture.
The night didn’t end there. The Hotter Flash Dance Party at Spirit Animal Nightclub brought everyone back to the dance floor, where celebration continued well into the night.
Day 4 – Sunday: Joyful Farewell and Lasting Connections
The Breakfast Bingo with Vickie Shaw delivered laughter and camaraderie over coffee and bagels, it was an instant crowd favorite.
Simultaneously, guests gathered for the NCAA Women’s Final Four Basketball Championship Watch Party and interactive activities like jewelry-making, blending creativity with community engagement.
As the weekend came to a close, there was a shared feeling among attendees: no one wanted it to end.
Desert Legends 2026 was more than a weekend, it was a living, breathing community experience.
What makes Desert Legends truly special is its ability to seamlessly blend:
- Entertainment and purpose
- Celebration and connection
- Fun and meaningful impact
Designed especially for women, particularly those 40+, this event continues to carve out a space that is inclusive, empowering, and joyfully authentic.

As media rep, media partner & co-producer, I am incredibly proud of what we created together. As a journalist and storyteller, I can confidently say:
Desert Legends is not just something you attend, it’s something you feel.
And if this year is any indication, the legend continues and is only getting stronger.
