Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 2/18/26 – Jessie Diggins went through a painful fight with an eating disorder at the peak of her career. The feature documentary Threshold highlights the struggles Diggins silently went through during her high-stakes season. Diggins is a 3x Olympic medalist and the most decorated American cross-country skier in history. She’s currently competing in the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics in six different events.

Diggins is now an outspoken mental health advocate and is passionate about sustainability and environmental issues that are affecting her sport. She is also one of the most dominant athletes in the history of Team USA. After recovering, Diggins remains as a cross-country skier and continues to speak out about athlete well-being.

As she’s currently competing in the Winter Olympics, Diggins just won a bronze medal in the Women’s 10k Skate. This will be her fourth career Olympic medal, and the first Olympic medal ever won by an American in the 10k. Diggins won this medal after bruising her ribs on Saturday after crashing in the skiathlon. She said she had ‘no lasting injuries’ however, and it hasn’t kept her out of racing.

Cross-country skiing runs through Sunday, Feb. 22, with Diggins expected to compete in the Women’s 50km Mass Start Classic on Sunday. This will be the final Olympic Games of her career.
