WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA (May 28, 2025) – The City of West Hollywood and WeHo Pride producer JJLA announced that supermodel and actress Cara Delevingne, Emmy-nominated actress and filmmaker Nava Mau, Love on the Spectrum star Pari Kim, and former NFL player Chris Kluwe will serve as the 2025 WeHo Pride Parade Icons. WeHo Pride honors the four individuals for their work in bringing the LGBTQ+ community and social justice issues to the forefront, as well as expanding representation in pop culture.
This year’s WeHo Pride Parade takes place on Sunday, June 1, in the heart of West Hollywood. The parade will step off at 12 p.m. (noon), at N. Crescent Heights Boulevard and continue west on Santa Monica Boulevard into the City’s Rainbow District, ending at the City’s western border. More information is available at www.wehopride.com.
Cara Delevingne has been selected as the first-ever Guardian Icon for her commitment to LGBTQ+ and mental health advocacy. Delevingne has consistently used her platform to uplift marginalized voices and challenge societal norms. From redefining gender roles on the runway to candidly sharing her personal journey, she has become a generational icon for authenticity and change.
“This is an honor unlike any other. The LGBTQIA+ community is the first place I felt like I belonged, it was the feeling of coming home. When I embraced my truth and was proud of who I was and who I loved, everything else fell into place. More than anything else I do, living loud and proud as a gay woman and helping young queer people feel seen and less alone, is and will always be the most important job I will ever do,” said Delevingne. “Together, nothing can break us and the more they push back, the harder we will continue to fight for what is ours. Freedom to love and live without consequence.”
Celebrated as this year’s Trailblazer Icon, Nava Mau is a fearless advocate for trans rights and LGBTQ+ equality in Hollywood and beyond. As the first-ever trans Latina to receive an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie. and a TV Bafta Award nomination, the Baby Reindeer actress has become a pioneering force in entertainment, helping pave the way for other transgender individuals in the industry. As a multi-talented creative, Mau wrote, directed, produced, and starred in ALL THE WORDS BUT THE ONE, an acclaimed short film that screened at top festivals including The New Orleans Film Festival and HollyShorts Film Festival. The film will be available May 29 on Vimeo and Short of the Week’s YouTube Channel. Watch the trailer: all the words but the one – Official Trailer on Vimeo. Before her career in film and television, Nava spent eight years supporting immigrant and LGBTQ survivors of violence. Her work both on and off the screen has earned her honors from PFLAG national, the Hispanic Heritage Foundation, and Critics Choice Association.
Receiving this year’s Ally Icon award is Chris Kluwe, former Minnesota Vikings punter turned outspoken advocate for LGBTQ+ rights. Known for his unapologetic activism and unwavering belief that everyone deserves to live free from hate and oppression, Kluwe has continued to use his platform to push for equality.
“I am incredibly honored to be recognized as an Icon by the West Hollywood community,” said Kluwe. “As a cis-het white dude, I challenge others like myself to join me in fighting for LGBTQIA+ rights, because a system that only benefits people like me is an unjust, un-American system that I refuse to abide by. True freedom requires us to stand with, and for, each other, and when one person’s right to exist is threatened, it’s a threat to us all.”
Honored as this year’s Next Gen Icon, Pari Kim has gained recognition for her unapologetic authenticity and passion for trains, while openly navigating her journey as a queer individual on the autism spectrum. Since her appearance on Season 3 of Netflix’s Love on the Spectrum, she has continued to share her love story with Tina Zhu Xi Caruso and her ongoing advocacy for LGBTQ+ and autism representation.
“WeHo Pride is all about celebrating love, authenticity, and community, and we’re so excited about the participation of our four incredible WeHo Pride Parade Icons,” said City of West Hollywood Mayor Chelsea Lee Byers. “They’ve each made a big difference in popular culture by shining a light on LGBTQ+ voices, in pushing for social justice, and by helping more people feel seen. As we come together for the WeHo Pride Parade, it fills my heart that their work and presence will lift our message of LGBTQ+ inclusion and equality, and our vision for positive change in the world for LGBTQ+ people everywhere.”
“The WeHo Pride parade regularly brings together tens of thousands of people who come out to celebrate our diverse LGBTQ community and we hope this year will bring out our largest group of parade spectators to date,” said Jeff Consoletti, JJLA Founder and producer of the WeHo Pride Parade. “Once again, our LGBTQ+ community is under attack and this year’s selection of Icons reflects individuals who have used their platforms to progress equality for all LGBTQ individuals.”

Pride Starts Here. For four decades, the City of West Hollywood has been home to one of the largest Pride celebrations in the nation. Hundreds of thousands of LGBTQ+ people and allies from around the world make West Hollywood their regular destination during Pride. 2022 marked the City’s inaugural WeHo Pride. This year, WeHo Pride Weekend (May 30– June 1) will include a free WeHo Pride Street Fair representing a diverse array of LGBTQ+ community groups as part of visibility, expression, and celebration; the ticketed music festival OUTLOUD @ WeHo Pride; the Women’s Freedom Festival and Dyke March on May 31; and the WeHo Pride Parade on June 1. Harvey Milk Day kicked off WeHo Pride on May 22 and the WeHo Pride Arts Festival (May 23 – May 25) formerly known as the One City One Pride LGBTQ Arts Festival, took place at the Los Angeles LGBT Center. Additional information about #WeHoPride will be posted at www.wehopride.com and on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok @wehopride as it becomes available.
Since its incorporation in 1984, the City of West Hollywood has become one of the most influential cities in the nation for its outspoken advocacy on LGBTQ issues. No other city of its size has had a greater impact on the national public policy discourse on fairness and inclusiveness for LGBTQ people. Home to the “Rainbow District” along Santa Monica Boulevard, which features a concentration of historic LGBTQ clubs, restaurants, and retail shops, the City consistently tops lists of “most LGBTQ friendly cities” in the nation. More than 40 percent of residents in West Hollywood identify as LGBTQ and four of the five members of the West Hollywood City Council are openly LGBTQ+. The City has advocated for nearly four decades for measures that support LGBTQ individuals and the City is in the vanguard on efforts to gain and protect equality for all people on a state, national, and international level. #WeHoPride @WeHoCity
