Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 3/22/25 – I recently had the pleasure of interviewing my dear friend, Eve Mauro, who is currently starring alongside action icon Jason Statham in the highly anticipated film, “A Working Man.” Having known Eve for nearly two decades, it’s astonishing to reflect on her journey – she truly is an extraordinary talent.
This gripping film centers around a decorated military veteran who turns to construction work and finds himself embroiled in a desperate search for the owner’s missing daughter. Jason Statham’s character takes on the formidable challenge of unveiling a corrupt underworld. Eve shines in her role as Artemis, a captivating villain tied to a gang of ruthless bikers. To bring Artemis to life, Eve delved deep into understanding her character’s motivations and human traits, ensuring an authentic and compelling performance.
Over the years, I’ve witnessed Eve’s phenomenal career blossom extensively. She first captured the spotlight in Madonna’s unforgettable music video, “Hollywood,” which significantly boosted her visibility in the industry. In fact, Madonna herself was so taken with Eve, believing she resembled her young daughter, Lourdes, that she endeavored to assist Eve with connections at W Magazine. Although a collaboration didn’t materialize, Eve remains deeply grateful for Madonna’s gesture of support.
Since that pivotal moment, Eve has been involved in an array of impressive projects, sharing the screen with remarkable actors such as Val Kilmer and Eric Roberts in “The Steam Experiment,” and Danny Trejo in “Cyborg X.” Her talent has graced numerous television shows, including “Dystopia,” “Cypher,” and “The Oath.” Now, with “A Working Man,” Eve embarks on the most significant project of her career.
Eve Mauro is truly an exceptional actress, and I wholeheartedly believe she is poised for even greater success. I’m thrilled for her and cannot wait to see what extraordinary projects await her in the future!
