Los Feliz, CA (The Hollywood Times) 12/21/24 – For years, our family has relied on Tam O’Shanter’s renowned Christmas Prime Rib and festive fixings to make our holiday celebrations truly special. Every year, we look forward to the mouthwatering cut of prime rib, cooked to perfection, and accompanied by all the delicious sides we’ve come to know and love. However, this holiday season, we encountered an unexpected hiccup that threatened to derail our tradition. Fortunately, thanks to the outstanding efforts of Tam O’Shanter’s management, particularly John Lindquist, the situation was swiftly resolved, and we were able to order our meal, past the deadline, and make our traditional holiday memory come to fruition.

The Hiccup

This year, when we placed our annual Christmas order for prime rib, things didn’t go as smoothly as expected. The website experienced a glitch, and even the phone lines weren’t functioning properly. In a panic, I went to the restaurant in person, where a staff member told me that orders had to be placed online, and the deadline was the following day. I rushed home to try again, but the submit button on the website still wouldn’t work. After trying a second computer, I received an error message stating that I had already placed an order, which made me think everything was fine, but I wasn’t entirely sure. The next day, one day after the deadline, I returned to the restaurant to check on the status of our order. The hostess saw that we had ordered for the past four years but couldn’t find any record of our order for this year. Our long-standing holiday tradition was now in jeopardy, and with Christmas fast approaching, we were feeling increasingly stressed and unsure of what to do.

John Lindquist to the Rescue

Knowing Mr. Lindquist from past experiences, I reached out to him in a panic via email. John Lindquist, a true professional who exemplifies the exceptional customer care that Tam O’Shanter is known for, quickly responded. Upon receiving my message, he took immediate action to resolve the issue. His calm, reassuring demeanor made all the difference. Not only did he assure us that everything would be sorted out, but he also personally oversaw the reorganization of our order to ensure that the prime rib and fixings would arrive in time for our family celebration.

John’s dedication went far beyond just fixing the problem—he genuinely cared about our experience. He took the time to ensure we were fully satisfied, and his attention to detail and commitment to customer service helped turn a stressful situation into a seamless solution. It was clear that customer satisfaction is his top priority, and his efforts made all the difference.

The Verdict

While every restaurant faces challenges from time to time, what truly sets a business apart is how they handle those moments. In our case, John Lindquist and the team at Tam O’Shanter went above and beyond to ensure that our holiday meal will be everything we hoped for. Their commitment to customer service, especially in such a busy season, is a testament to why we’ve been loyal customers for years.

If you’re looking for a classic holiday feast or just want to enjoy a top-tier dining experience year-round, Tam O’Shanter is a must-visit. And rest assured, with management like John Lindquist at the helm, you’re in great hands. Thanks to his personal attention, our family Christmas dinner was saved, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Final Rating: 5 Stars — Not just for the food, but for the exceptional service that truly makes a difference.
