Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 9/26/24 – Usher’s “Past Present Future” tour is nothing short of spectacular! At 45 years old, he continues to reach new heights more than 30 years after his debut. Throughout the night, he effortlessly took us on a journey through his remarkable music career. From performing at the Super Bowl 2024 to selling over 150 million records worldwide, he has truly cemented his place as one of the best-selling music artists of all time.

Usher LL Cool J

He delivered nearly 2.5 hours of pure entertainment at the Intuit Dome, the new Los Angeles venue where I also caught Bruno Mars for the grand opening—another amazing show! Usher utilized the space brilliantly, with multi-level sets on the main stage and an extended runway that reached deep into the audience. I was so close that I could see the sweat glistening on his well-trained physique. Each performance felt like a live, perfectly produced music video—absolutely captivating! He changed outfits for nearly every song, showcasing stunning looks adorned with rhinestones, fur, and leather.

Here is some video we took:

Usher hit every choreography move with precision, gliding effortlessly around the stage on roller skates, while his dancers wowed us with incredible skating tricks. His vocals were spot-on as he revisited his extensive catalog of hits, and the crowd was electrified, singing along and cheering with delight.

Usher, LL Cool J & Boys II Men

A highlight of the night was when Usher surprised us by bringing out the legendary LL Cool J, along with Shawn Stockman and Wanya Morris from Boyz II Men, for a few unforgettable songs. They closed the surprise set with a soulful rendition of “End of the Road.”

Decades-long careers don’t happen by chance. With over 30 songs performed live, Usher demonstrated why he has remained beloved for so many years. Be sure to check out his ninth studio album, Coming Home, and don’t miss the chance to catch this tour before it wraps up in May 2025!
