Lead Single “Take A Bite” Hits #1 at Triple-A Radio in the U.S. After Being Most Added for Several Weeks in a Row

In tandem with release week, beabadoobee also shared her new single and video “Beaches,” a celebration of self-belief and a newfound confidence that was written while Bea was recording the album at Rick Rubin’s Shangri-La studio. PRESS HERE to watch the video which draws inspiration from Bea reveling in the studio’s Malibu surroundings: eating healthily, soaking up the sun, going for dips in the ocean, and constantly writing and recording.

“I was just going to put my feet in,” Bea reminisces about her first time jumping into the water in Malibu, “But then everyone was like, ‘Why wouldn’t you just put your whole body in? Jump in!’. And that became such an encapsulation of this whole recording opportunity – don’t do it half-arsed, just go fucking full-force!”

With guidance from Rubin, beabadoobee noted how much she enjoyed getting back to the roots of her craft. “He kind of gave me the confidence that I can trust my songwriting – like I earned this position to be in Shangri-La, it’s not an opportunity to waste, and it just gave me a shit-ton of confidence: I can write a song, that’s the one thing I know I can do.”

Featuring new, self-reflective tracks such as “Girl Song,” “Tie My Shoes,” “Everything I Want,” and “A Cruel Affair” This Is How Tomorrow Moves is an album of multitudes which captures a journey through confidence and introspection, with themes of self-acceptance and personal growth woven throughout, and stands as a testament to beabadoobee’s artistic evolution, resilience as a performer and growth as a songwriter.

This Is How Tomorrow Moves is in parts a love letter to her younger self and all that she’s been through while also taking the reins on the next stage of her life. “I love this album,” beabadoobee shares. “I feel like it’s helped me so much more than anything else has in navigating this new era, this new understanding of where I’m at. I guess it’s about becoming a woman.”

“I think I’m more aware of my actions in these songs,” beabadoobee adds, “In my previous records, I would consistently sing about my reaction towards other people’s doings, like a blame game. But in this record, it’s accepting that there’s an inevitability of my fault in there too. Whether it’s childhood trauma or relationship issues, it takes two to tango in everything.”

“Beaches” follows the recent release of single “Ever Seen,” which was written on the road while Bea was touring with Taylor Swift and was originally intended to be a country song, and lead single “Take A Bite,” a cascade of taut guitars that indulges a desire for chaos despite the self-awareness of bringing past negative cycles into something new which just hit #1 at triple-A radio in the U.S. after being the most-added track for several weeks in a row. “Take A Bite” was followed by nostalgic album track “Coming Home” which channels her love for The Beatles.
