Beyond its cinematic allure, Deadly Justice distinguishes itself through its innovative approach to the thriller genre, particularly in its portrayal of the antagonist’s chilling method of dispatching victims. The talented writer Corin Nemec reveals, “The taser is the weapon of choice because it’s something that is easily portable. Depending on the size of the device and the electrical voltage you have going through the taser, there are some of these weapons that can absolutely knock you unconscious. It was specifically easy to use, could be used repeatedly, and a taser doesn’t make much noise.” This fresh approach definitely provides a new aspect to thrillers that viewers have rarely seen and are sure to appreciate!
Brian Krause’s portrayal of the duplicitous and cunning character, Dale, captivates audiences with its depth and intrigue from the opening scene to the final frame. Despite his outward charm and seemingly bashful demeanor, Dale conceals a labyrinth of motives and secrets beneath the surface. Nemec masterfully personifies the complexities of Dale’s character, inviting viewers into a world where appearances are often deceiving. Nemec describes, “It is twofold. In his savvy, ‘I am the smartest guy in the room and also a murderer, this is where his sense of authority comes from; he knows something that nobody else knows. Because of that, he feels he can control and manipulate people. His reason for wanting to get together with Holly could have been a realization that he could potentially destroy her, as well as sleep with her. Dale is that kind of sadistic person; one of the personality traits that he has is nihilistic in that way.”
Corin Nemec’s skillful narrative introduces a gripping story and an unrelenting quest for truth. Through Nemec’s adept storytelling, viewers are immersed in a world where danger lurks at every turn, compelling them to question the true motives of those around them.
