There is just something about the flowers blooming that makes us want our love life to do the same. Well, thankfully Los Angeles is just full of fun and flirty springtime date ideas that will help you take your love life to the next level. Descanso Gardens

Nothing says ‘kissable moment’ like a flower-covered bridge in a Japanese-themed flower garden. We just love love and Descanso Gardens isn’t just growing a wide array of unique and often rare flowers, it is growing springtime bliss. Located in La Canada Flintridge, it is just a quick drive up the 101 to feel like you have been transported to a completely different country. The Gardens is a great spot to enjoy both the local plant life and the love of one’s life (or hopeful) anyway. The Japanese Garden features cherry blossoms, Koi ponds, and Japanese-themed architecture, including a magical bridge just made for that picture-perfect moment. The garden also puts on themed events including Spring Bloom. The event includes a guided tour of the garden to hit all the high spots and see what’s new and in bloom. It’s a truly magical place and perfect for everything from a first date to a wedding, which they also host regularly. It’s no surprise either, with all the flowers in bloom, this urban paradise is what every Angeleno is craving at this time of the year. Take a stroll through the famous canals of Venice—Beach that is. While they may not be exactly like the real Italian thing, they come pretty close, and springtime is a prime time to enjoy them. The temperate weather makes for a perfect stroll around the canals, and they truly are one of Los Angeles’s treasures. Modeled after the traditional Venice canals of Italy, visiting them is the perfect way to take an Italian-themed vacation, without ever leaving the city. Located in the famous Venice Beach district not only are the canals themselves beautiful, but they also lead to the beach. The sister site of the Getty Museum, the Getty Villa features incredible gardens, scenic fountains, and all kinds of historical beauty. Set in the theme of ancient Greek and Roman villas the aptly named Getty Villa offers tours or allows its guests to wander at their own pace. Not only are the gardens currently in full bloom but the cool ocean breezes blowing lazily through the gardens will transport you and your partner to the Grecian coast, where so many great love stories were written. Lake Shrine

Tranquility meets trail in this hidden gem. Lake Shrine is a meditation garden that features walking paths, beautiful greenery and happens to be a partial final resting place for the great spiritual leader Paramahansa Yogananda. Lots of various wildlife call the beautiful lake home and there is seemingly no end to the beautiful, blooming flowers. It is the perfect environment to have long meandering talks, along the equally meandering pathways. It is very conducive to love, connection, and happiness, after all, that was exactly why it was built! Springtime is the perfect time to enjoy this little piece of paradise right off the Palisades. We know, we know, it might seem a little cliché, but after all the cold, wet winter yuck, aren’t you in the mood for some fun? Echo Park features swan-lit paddleboat rides around its iconic lake. The rides are even better at night if we do say so ourselves, as the lit city skyscape features a romantic backdrop. The park is also surrounded by multiple trees in full bloom and contains several picnic spots just perfect for a post-swan snack and cuddle.
