Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 10/23/24 – Bred with a love for all styles of music, a young Lemoyne Alexander became infatuated with it. A special affinity towards Rock & Soul music blossomed, with one of his first heroes being Jimi Hendrix. “Jimi’s music and guitar playing touched me and spoke to me deeply,” Lemoyne said. He grew up surrounded by music as his father worked as a drummer for legendary Chess Records, the iconic label that launched many careers including that of Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, Buddy Guy and Bo Diddley among others.

Starting with the guitar, and expanding to also playing drums, bass, keyboards and more, Lemoyne started coming up with song ideas of his own. This led to an all-encompassing passion of writing his own material with collaborators. “Songs are like therapy for me,” states Alexander, “providing a balance in my life, overcoming challenges and relationship issues.” Some of his favorite and most influential artists include, both classic and newer bands such as the Foo Fighters, Lenny Kravitz, Aerosmith, Sting, Eagles, Rolling Stones, Offspring, Black Keys, Dirty Honey, Gary Clark Jr & many more.

Growing from and beyond such group projects as, “St8 of Grace” and “Black Light Theory”, Lemoyne has emerged as a highly acclaimed solo artist. His singles, “Insecurity”, “Daydreaming” and “Chasing Time” have shown his ability to craft infectious melodies and sing-along hooks that are both thought provoking and carry mainstream potential.

Beyond Alexanders’ talent, a key component has been a near 30-year relationship with acclaimed promotion, marketing and artist development guru Jay Warsinske.  His “Indie Power” company is comprised of a worldwide team of expert veterans and influencers that reach deep into the markets of Rock, Pop, Alternative, Soul and Hip Hop. Jay’s credits include having a hand in launching such icon artists as U2, Dr. Dre, AC/DC, 2Pac, The Clash, Eminem, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Heart, Snoop Dogg, Green Day, Van Halen and many more Rock & Roll Hall of Famers. Warsinske has also been involved with thousands of concerts and hundreds of tours, including Lollapalooza, Ozzfest, and the Warped Tour (20 years) that has helped to launch the careers of countless star artists and groups, including Offspring, No Doubt (Gwen Stefani), Blink-182, Ice-T plus Body Count, Paramore, Eminem, Twentyone Pilots, My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Sublime, and numerous other household names.  In conjunction with manager Charles Swift (30-year relationship) of Indie label “Wicked”, the two are flexing their combined independent power and strengths in today’s fast evolving music and entertainment industries.

Alexander’s creative abilities are on full display in his forthcoming album entitled “Alone” which comes out the first quarter of 2025, that Lemoyne says, “It has taught me a lot of lessons about life and its many curveballs and the challenges one faces, gaining insight into the psychology of surviving and moving forward!”
