Pasadena, CA (The Hollywood Times) 2/14/20 – The mysterious and almost spellbinding series Sacred Lies makes its huge return to Facebook Watch later this February with a new installment: Singing Bones. Following the chilling Cult escape from it’s debut season, Singing Bones documents a young girl who is the unfortunate victim of abandonment by her own father, a depressed telemarketer and her need to uncover unsolved murders, and a father who has lived his whole life regretting one heinous decision. Through many twists and turns however, viewers are shown once again, that everything is often not how it seems.

A ‘puzzle piece’ series wherein characters share connectivity with each other and storylines build from these same connections. Showrunner and Executive Producer, Raelle Tucker explains, “all of these characters are connected in ways that continue to be revealed throughout the season. It is the story of a very eccentric telemarketer, played by Juliette Lewis, who obsessively investigates unidentified bodies. Which most people don’t realize our country has like 40,000 unidentified victims and we don’t know their names or where they come from. And so this character is trying to give them their dignity back in finding their names for personal reasons. And through her journey as she delves into a cold case, she comes across a foster child named Elsie whose identity is also in question and has been abandoned as a child by her father, who is Ryan Kwanten here who plays Peter. And then we also have the other characters in her life. We also have her foster mother, who is Kristin Bauer and, along the way, Harper ends up working with a forensic tech named Lily and they forge a friendship and partnership that becomes really important to the season.”
Music is an integral part of this series, which can be seen in the main character Elsie. Tucker recalls, “ We saw hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of actors for this role. It’s very a specific role. As you’ll see when you watch the show, it was really looking for a needle in a haystack to find the right person to play it. And the second we saw Jordan’s face in her audition, we absolutely knew it was her and we were done. music was always going to be a part of the central mystery of our season. It’s really deeply tied into the plot and baked into the character, and that’s why casting of this role was so specific. We needed to find somebody who could really play the guitar, could really sing, was an incredible actor, and could really embody this really edgy fairytale ingénue I wanted to take an ingénue and turn it upside down. And we needed to find somebody who had all that edge and charisma and talent. We didn’t wanna fake it. We needed somebody that really had all of it.” As viewers will soon see, Jordan Alexander’s role of Elsie is beautifully and effortlessly done and is expected to be a huge hit!
