Venue to be part of the TCM Classic Film Festival, running in Hollywood April 18-21, 2024
In celebration of the 15th annual TCM Classic Film Festival in Hollywood, Turner Classic Movies will be bringing the Festival back to one of its original homes – the beautifully restored and beloved Egyptian Theatre.
In partnership with the American Cinematheque and owned by Netflix, the Egyptian Theatre is able to screen digital cinema, 35mm film, 70mm, and nitrate prints. At this year’s Festival, the theatre will host illuminating conversations as TCM hosts, notable special guests and thousands of classic film fans get the chance to return to this glorious temple to cinema. TCM is pleased to announce two of the confirmed screenings at the theatre – a nitrate 35mm print of Annie Get Your Gun (1950), as well as a new 70mm print of Lawrence of Arabia (1962).
