At the recent 2025 SXSW conference in Austin, Texas, I had the pleasure of meeting Pierre Dionet, CEO of Synegram. Synegram’s innovative platform earned the 2025 SXSW Innovation Award in the Audio Experience category. Synegram was also one of the 2025 SXSW Innovation Awards Winners, winner of the Audio Experience category, “I See Music.” SXSW
Synegram is transforming music education by making it visual and logical. The platform utilizes synesthesia and advanced artificial intelligence to convert musical concepts into geometric shapes, allowing users to “see” music. This unique approach simplifies understanding intervals, chords, and melodies, making music accessible to learners at all levels.
Synegram offers a personalized learning experience through interactive lessons and intuitive games that adapts to individual styles and paces. By introducing a new musical language, the platform empowers users to comprehend and create music rather than merely replicate it. This innovative method accelerates learning and makes the process enjoyable, transforming music education into an engaging adventure.
Synegram’s groundbreaking approach has not only garnered industry recognition but also holds the potential to revolutionize how we perceive and engage with music. By making music visual and intuitive, Synegram opens new avenues for creativity and understanding, paving the way for a more inclusive and enriched musical experience. As Synegram continues to evolve, it promises to reshape how we learn, teach, and experience music, paving the way for a more inclusive and enriched musical landscape.
Synegram is a small team of 4 of dedicated and passionate minds. Grosson & Mathias Arlaud, engineers, (based in France, as is Pierre). Charlie Nguyen Kim, film music composer (based in Miami). Charlie and Pierre are from the same town, Clermont-Ferrand. Funny to end up at SXSW, after having been in high school together.
