Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 9/8/24 – I had the pleasure of interviewing Rae Lashea, the executive producer and co-writer, and Danielle Larracuente, the star of We’re Not Married, ahead of its special screening at Harmony Gold this month.

We’re Not Married is being showcased as part of Latin Heritage Month and was made possible with the support of Latino Women in Entertainment. Rae Lashea, who marks her debut in film production and screenwriting with this project, is well-known as a novelist, with acclaimed works such as Fifty-Two Weeks of M.I.R.A.C.L.E.S and Hot Tea and Mercy. In our interview, Rae discussed the challenges and creative differences between novel writing and screenwriting, highlighting the need for adaptability in bringing a screenplay to life.

Danielle Larracuente, recognized for her roles in Bosch: Legacy, Snowfall, This Is Us, and This Is Me… Now, shared her enthusiasm for her role as Rachel in We’re Not Married. She expressed the honor of portraying a lead role as a Latin woman in a film that celebrates diversity. Danielle’s previous work includes a role in Snowfall, where she played a CIA agent entangled in a high-stakes operation.
