Mad Kat Gallery, Rancho Mirage (The Hollywood Times) 3-8-25
I attended an amazing art exhibit on Saturday featuring 18 artists who are known for both art and music. I photographed the opening with my new camera, the Leica D-Lux 8. Wonderful paintings were in evidence and photography was also presented. Three of the artists I photographed in concert years ago: Exene Cervenka, Juliana Hatfield, and Johnette Napolitano. Of special note are the paintings of Jeb Loy Nichols as my mom bought one of his paintings at the exhibit. Coincidentally I did a photo session of him years ago.
Other fine artists included in this exhibit are Russ Tolman, Cheryl Bentyne, Marti Jones Dixon, Jill Emery, Shinji Horimura, Gill Landry, Jon Langford, Stefan Murphy, Fredrik Nilsen, Check Prophet, Kurt Ralske, Nathaniel Russell, Rennie Sparks, and Deb Talan.
The art exhibit continues through 4-12-25 and I highly recommend it.
