Photo Activation in Honor of Pride Month and LGBTQIA+ Community June 11-13, 2021
WHAT
Santa Monica Place and Hulu will present a special photoactivation in honor of Pride Month and the Season 2 premiere of the Hulu Original Series “Love, Victor,” which will be available on the platform beginning June 11. From June 11-13, a colorful, bold iridescent closet will be on display in Santa Monica Place’s Center Plaza, where visitors can shine, shimmer, and express themselves by taking photos, videos, or boomerangs as they open the activation’s doors. The “Love, Victor” photoactivation is meant to inspire visitors to reflect on the life they deserve to live, honoring and amplifying the many different shades of love and self-expression that the LGBTQIA+ community embodies.
Throughout the month of June, featured art installations by local LGBTQIA+ artists will be on display throughout Santa Monica Place as part of the 2021 SaMo Pride celebration. A rainbow display of overhead lanterns, lighting, and décor will highlight love in every color across Santa Monica Place, Downtown Santa Monica, and the Santa Monica Pier.
