Allie Colleen shared, “This song is a tribute to loss and all that comes out of it. Sonically, it resembles the resiliency of healing, and lyrically, it represents the frustration of letting go. I hope it creates a safe space for recovery and pushes the listener forward to the pursuit of ‘more.’”

Allie Colleen, performed at a benefit back in July 2018 to raise funds for Sea Turtle Recovery, a Non Profit Organization dedicated to the rehabilitation of sea turtles and providing public outreach. In May 2019 she was honored to partner with them and include her single, “Take Up Your Arms,” an anthem song about fighting for the good in the world featured in a promotional video bringing awareness to the organization. As a special opportunity to share the outreach and incredible care of the turtles, Allie invited her Facebook fans to join her in a virtual tour of the Sea Turtle Recovery state of the art facility located within the Essex County Turtle Back Zoo. During the special event, her fans were given the honor to give the name Olaf to one of the two Sea Turtle Recovery’s two critically endangered Kemp’s Ridley sea turtles. Both of these sea turtles washed ashore cold stunned due to failing to migrate to warmer water before temperatures became too cold.
