October Updates: Get ready for a weekend of joy at the Sunset Music & Comedy Festival!

0
Hey beautiful people, throughout the year, I’ve done several interviews, had articles written, and made plenty of announcements about my transition from the PS Women’s Jazz Festival to the Sunset Music & Comedy Festival. But in today’s media landscape, it seems the printed word doesn’t always get the job done. People need video to really digest information these days. Since I’m still getting so many calls, I wanted to post this to help clear up some of the confusion.

So, from my home to yours, here’s a little joy amidst the chaos! I have no idea why there are two festivals happening on the same weekend—that’s a bit of a crazy mystery to me. While I can’t answer that one, I can tell you why I’ve been keeping busy: Most of you know that I’ve been working on the Sunset Music Series this past year-—it’s been a ton of fun and has kept me very busy!

Tickets have been on sale since April, but there are still some available. Grab yours now before they sell out! And don’t forget to share this with your friends.

Tickets and more information at www.sweetbabyjai.com.

As always, my concerts come with the guarantee that you’ll have an unforgettable experience—now with even more to enjoy! Big love and gratitude to our amazing festival team—we did that thang!

November 8, 7 PM – Oscar’s Downtown Palm Springs (125 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way) kicks off the festival with our Opening Night Victory Party! Celebrate an end to divisive political ads flooding our mailboxes and airwaves, and turn the page toward a joyful future. Dress to impress for a chance to win a prize for the best Western-themed outfit—I’ll definitely be rocking my cowboy hat and boots! Groove to award-winning blues, soul, and country with Serafia, joined by a surprise guest, and stand-up comic Pat Branch, followed by DJ Jiji Sweet, who will take us into an epic dance set to party like it’s about time!

November 9, 7 PM – At the Palm Springs Cultural Center (2300 E. Baristo Rd), get ready for the return of A Night of Music & Comedy! Enjoy the magic of Grammy-nominated soul/jazz sensation Kandace Springs as she showcases contemporary favorites and hits from her latest album Run Your Race. The evening also features comedy queen Karen Williams, classical and rock cellist Jennifer Corday (yes, cello!), and a fiery, electrifying violin performance from Emily V. This unforgettable night will leave you inspired and entertained!

November 10, 3 PM – Join us at Revolution Stage Company (611 S. Palm Canyon Dr) for an electrifying performance by The Saxtress, Pamela Williams, as she showcases her smooth jazz, funk, R&B, and hip-hop, featuring her brand-new single. The Women in Jazz All-Stars, featuring Sunnie Paxson, will be laying down their infectious grooves, along with a dash of musical comedy by Queen of the Desert Yve Evans and humor from Def Comedy Jam comic Suzanne Suter. What a weekend packed full of fabulous music and comedy!
