NYA’S “CLOSER THAN CLOSE” HITS THE TOP 40 CHART AND DEBUTS ON SIRIUS/XM’S “TRAIN TRACKS” HOSTED BY PAT MONAHAN TODAY
Los Angeles, CA (July 8, 2022)—NYA’s new single, “Closer Than Close” reached #45 on the Top 40 chart this week, and will make its Sirius/XM debut on “Train Tracks” hosted by Pat Monahan with airings today at 10 PM ET; Saturday, July 9 at 1 AM, 7 AM and 9 PM ET; Sunday, July 10 at 9 AM ET; and Monday, July 11 at 12 AM ET. The music video for “Closer Than Close” already has more than half a million YouTube views: Nya – Closer Than close – YouTube.
“Closer Than Close” follows on the heels of emerging singer/songwriter NYA’s post-breakup ballad, “The Real You,” which recently hit the Top 20 on the Adult Contemporary Mediabase chart and #26 on the Billboard AC chart.
Produced by four-time Grammy® winning Brian Kennedy (Rihanna, Chris Brown, Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Clarkson), and co-written by NYA with Kennedy, Grammy® winning Midian Mathers, 3X Platinum Songwriter Dwayne Dialo and Grammy® Nominated Stacy Barthe, the sultry song is a hopeful, feel good expression of loving and longing reminiscent for Nya of her relationship with her Uruguay based husband – and her frequent commutes back and forth from their home there to Los Angeles.
