New Jersey (The Hollywood Times) 1/14/22 – I just heard Gabby Barrett’s voice singing the hook on her song “The Good Ones”. I was blown away and I normally do not enjoy country music. Typically I’m not looking for this kind of music but luckily I somehow managed to hear the song. I looked it up on youtube and found the music video and realized that this was impressive. Definitely not too shabby Gabby Barrett.
I learned quickly that she went onto American Idol season 16 and was the third runner up in the competition. I used to watch the show as a dedicated fan and was there to cheer on Adam Lambert and Carrie Underwood. Gabby Barrett sounds a lot like Carrie Underwood and she even covered a Carrie song in her audition which I also posted with the music video for “The Good Ones” below the article.
The music video was released in August 2019 and only has a little more than 41 million views on youtube at the time of writing of this article. At the age of only 21 she has really accomplished a lot and has so much greatness ahead of her. Gabby is from Munhall, Pennsylvania and is another success story for American Idol. The singing competition returns in spring 2022. Judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie are all returning for the new season, as is host-producer Ryan Seacrest.
