Memorial Day Weekend: May 28–31, 2021

0
Happy Memorial Day Weekend!  We were out and about this week and picked up some good dirt on our oasis. Sworn to secrecy, but rumor has it one of our drag performers had a secret gig for one of the biggest names in music.
That comes on the high heels of Trixie Mattel’s Drag Motel . According to the Twitter post: “Coming next year, the show will follow me and my famous friends as we create the glossiest Drag motel of your wildest fever-dreams! #TrixieMotel”
And COPA is under new ownership with a Saturday night drag show on the docket coming soon.  Too bad they won’t be ripping out that bar before reopening!
We had such a great time with Golden Girls season one writer Stan Zimmerman at Oscar’s this week.  Alexander Rodriguez has agreed to host a second show June 24th and it’s on sale now.

Next week is Episode 100 of the #ILoveGayPalmSprings podcast and we have a Pride Month exclusive! Ron DeHarte (not Ronda Harte!) of Palm Springs Pride will be our guest to preview the entire Pride lineup, parade route and safety protocols that may need to be in place. Hope you’ll join us!

We’ll be here to keep you updated on bar and nightlife events in our new “After Dark” section, plus community events, news you can use and our signature directory of LGBTQ-friendly businesses.
