Come for the shopping and Tiki drinks, stay for the movies! Taking place at the historic Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, the American Cinematheque’s 15th Annual Tiki Night kicks off at 1:30pm with a Tiki Marketplace in the courtyard, featuring vendors selling new and vintage Tiki related art, clothing, accessories and more. Highlights include a “Hawaii on Film” presentation in the theatre at 4pm, live performances by King Kukulele & The Friki Tikis and the Polynesian Paradise Dancers; Tiki cocktails by Damien Montanile & Associates; and food available for purchase from Aloha Fridays and Hang Loose Hawaiian Shaved Ice food trucks. At 7:30pm King Kukulele hosts the double feature: Gidget Goes Hawaiian (1961) with Deborah Walley; and Paradise, Hawaiian Style (1966) with Elvis Presley.
