Beverly Hills, California (The Hollywood Times) 08/05/2024

Theater 40 is housed in The Mary Levin Cutler Theater within the Beverly Hills High School campus. The play revolves around an accountant at a large company who is visited by an employee seeking advice about discrepancies in the accounting department.

The play sets a lively tone, especially due to the actors’ performance. It commences with a man conversing with his pet fish as he prepares to leave town, and then suddenly there’s a knock at the door—an unexpected visitor. The woman from his office arrives, bringing him candy and making herself at home. They discuss her concerns about potential foul play in the company’s books, and it seems like she may be there to point fingers. The actors successfully portray their roles, and the set design is quite intricate for a two-person play. It’s evident that the actors are experienced in their craft.

Michael Kerr and Tammy Mora

The play was written by Frank Salisbury, directed by David Datz, and produced by David Hunt Stafford for Theatre Forty. It features Tammy Mora and Michael Kerr. Tammy Mora’s California credits include roles in “Veronica in The Motherf**ker with the Hat,” Margaret in “Silent Sky,” and Ophelia in “Save Hamlet.” Her New York credits include the narrator in “Rocky Horror Show” and The Woman in “Vagina Happy in the Vagina Monologues.” She studied at The Actors Gang in Culver City and The Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University in NYC. Michael Kerr recently portrayed Robert Treacher in “Strangers on a Train” with training including a B.A. in Radio-Television from Sam Houston State University and two years of Meisner Technique at William Alderson’s Acting Studio in Hollywood. Running now till August 25, 2024. Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:00 p.m.
