Palm Springs International Film Festival
The 34th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival (PSIFF) heads into its closing weekend, and with a gloomy weather forecast, it’s a perfect time to take in a great film or two! Desert TheatreWorks presents Nunsense A-Men! from Friday, January 13 through Sunday, February 5. When five of the surviving members of the Convent discover that 52 of their sisters have been accidentally poisoned by food prepared by their cook, Sister Julia, Child of God, they’re tasked with the challenge of raising enough money to pay for the burials. Dezart Performs presents A Bright New Boise from Friday, January 13 through Sunday, January 22. Will, who has fled his rural hometown after a scandal at his Evangelical church, comes to the Hobby Lobby, not only for employment, but also to rekindle a relationship with Alex, his brooding teenage son, whom he gave up for adoption several years ago.
