HH Brazilian Steakhouse – Restaurant Review
By Valerie Milano
Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 10/25/20 – Nestled in the concrete canyons of downtown L.A. is HH Brazilian Steakhouse. Owner Henrique has managed to provide a rare thing in today’s age of Covid; a quality sit-down dining experience at affordable prices. HH is about meat; fresh, quality cuts of all kinds served by masked, knowledgeable staff who can take your order in Portuguese or English and will serve you safely and expertly. No contact delivery and takeout are also options.
Not content to slap some patio furniture on the sidewalk and take orders. Part of the HH experience is the outdoor, downtown ambiance provided by their open-air seating area. Henrique and staff have combined a metro aesthetic with old-world care unique to a family-owned business. Indeed, Henrique’s mother Helen Rejane is a world-class painter whose art feeds the eyes and integrates perfectly with the international vibe at HH.
Beef is a specialty, but the poultry and fish receive rave reviews as well; and while carnivorous delights feature, culinary balance is maintained with organic farm-fresh, salads, and produce. Check out the fried, sweet plantains if you’re in the mood for something different. And yes, there’s also a drink menu with a wide selection of South American wine, wine cocktails, and craft beers.
HH Brazilian Steakhouse is a prime downtown destination for those looking for a delicious date night or a special event dining destination. And the Saturday and Sunday brunch includes bottomless mimosas. Just make sure you bring your appetite.
