Due to overwhelming demand, The Way Home premiered on Hallmark Channel with new episodes every week, which started this past Friday, January 3rd at 9/8c and streaming the next day on Hallmark+!
The Way Home tells the story of three generations of women – Kat Landry (Chyler Leigh), her teen Alice (Sadie Laflamme-Snow) and Kat’s mother Del (Andie MacDowell) – who are all strong, willful and independent. More than 20 years prior, life-changing events prompted Kat to move away from her small, Canadian farm town and she remains estranged from Del to this day. At a crossroads in her life, Kat moves back with Alice to her family’s farm though the reunion isn’t what Kat envisioned. When Alice and Kat unwittingly discover the ability to travel between the past and present, mother and daughter are determined to unearth the truth around the earlier tragedies as they try to change the course of events. Kat’s childhood friend Elliot (Evan Williams) is there for them in both eras as they navigate their journeys across time, helping the three women find their way back to each other.
Sneak peek:
Season 3 picks up where season two left off – with Kat (Leigh) and her brother Jacob (Spencer Macpherson, School Spirits), who went missing more than two decades ago at the age of eight and is now an adult, poised to walk into the Landry home to an unsuspecting Del (MacDowell).
Viewers will be introduced to a groovy new era when the pond transports Kat and Alice to 1974 – the year Del and Colton (Brown) first met as teens and their epic love story began. Alice is befriended by a young, spritely Evelyn Goodwin (Cecchetto) but their budding friendship complicates Alice’s relationship with Del, who wants her memories of Colton to remain the way they are. Meanwhile, Kat attempts to close the door on the 1800s after making startling discoveries. In the present day she and Elliot (Williams) navigate a new chapter in their relationship, while he finds himself faced with his own complicated past.
Stream every episode from Seasons 1 and 2 of The Way Home on Hallmark+!
I honestly believe The Way Home is the best Hallmark series I have seen and I am a Hallmark watcher! This series is truly refreshing and the ongoing mystery of the show and the cast makes for a full blown hit. Having been able to see some of Season 3, I have to say those of you who have seen all of Season 1 and 2 will not be disappointed one bit. So far this season 3 you will find yourself at the edge of your seat and even have to hit the rewind button so you can say “did that really happen?”
If you have not yet seen this series on Hallmark or Hallmark+, you need to binge watch Season 1 and Season 2 to prepare for Season 3. I would suggest purchasing Hallmark+ so you can watch it without commercials.
