Burbank, CA (The Hollywood Times) May 6, 2024 – “May the 4th be with you” and “Revenge of the 5th” is a playful pun on the famous phrase from Star Wars, “May the Force be with you,” and “Revenge of the Sith”.

Star Wars enthusiasts celebrate May 4th as Star Wars Day because of the phonetic similarity between “fourth” and “Force”, as well as “fifth” and “Sith”. It is a day when fans around the world come together to celebrate the beloved franchise by watching the movies, shows, dressing up as their favorite characters, attending events, and sharing their love for the legendary franchise on social media. The celebration has grown over the years and has become an unofficial holiday for fans.

Star Wars has had a profound impact on popular culture and has amassed a massive fanbase worldwide. It has become a cultural phenomenon that continues to influence entertainment, technology, and storytelling decades after its inception.

West Coast Customs very own CEO Ryan Friedlinghaus had his grand opening of “Haus of Treasures” to celebrate May 4th. Located in Burbank, CA, Haus of Treasures is an exclusive private collection of Never-before-seen memorabilia which celebrates three decades of collectibles and antiques. A vast collection he has amassed during his time working with Star Wars filmmaker and creator George Lucas.

Another way Star Wars enthusiasts celebrated the weekend is by cosplaying their favorite characters and sipping some infamous Blue Milk at Scum and Villainy Cantina located in Hollywood.

Scum And Villainy Cantina

The Scum and Villainy Cantina is a bar inspired by the Star Wars universe where patrons can immerse themselves in a space that resembles the cantinas seen in the Star Wars films and shows. The Cantina was built by JC Reifenberg, a filmmaker, and Star Wars fan. Reifenberg created a space where fellow fans could gather and be true to themselves with others who share similar interests. The décor, drinks, and even staff all follow the theme, providing fans with a unique and enjoyable experience.
