Los Angeles, CA, (The Hollywood Times) 7/23/2020–The LONG wait is over. Major League Baseball starts tonight! Heat up the grill, pop some popcorn, sport your best Dodger gear, and get ready for some Dodgers’ baseball. Here in Los Angeles, the Boys in Blue will take the field at Dodger Stadium and face the San Francisco Giants at 7:08 p.m. PT.

During opening week, the Dodgers will face the Giants in a four-game series starting tonight, Thursday, July 23rd and will run through Sunday, July 26th.

Fan Attendance

Dodger Stadium remains closed to the public due to COVID-19 health issues. Fans are encouraged to get behind the boys in blue and keep the spirit of baseball alive by watching games on television. Tonight’s game will be televised nationally on ESPN.

Pregame activities will also be streamed on Dodgers social media platforms where fans can watch live player introductions and special ceremonies, which include gospel singer Keith Williams Jr. performing the national anthem.

How to “Attend” the Game

Fans can “attend the game(s)” at Dodger Stadium by purchasing a Fan Cutout at Dodgers.com/FanCutouts.Net proceeds go to benefit the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation. To date, the club has sold over 5,000 cutouts and raised over $850,000 for the Dodgers Foundation.

Who’s Slated to Play During the 2020 Season

The Dodgers’ 60-game season includes 10 games against each divisional opponent and Inter-league matchups against the American League West’s Angels, Astros, Athletics, Rangers, and Mariners. The full schedule can be found at Dodgers.com/schedule.
