Beverly Hills, CA (The Hollywood Times) 01/26/2024

If you are a fan of season 2 of The White Lotus and like the vibe of the show you must go check out the new hot spot-on North Camden Drive CIPRIANI. You feel like you’re in the exclusive San Domenico Palace, Taormina, Sicily at the Four Seasons hotel where the show was filmed.  As soon as I walked in, I had my door opened by the Concierge. I was greeted by Beatrice and Erik the managers. They reminded me of Valentina, the hotel manager played by actress Sabrina Impacciatore and Giuseppe played by actor Federico Scribani.  Of course, Beatrice and Erik are a younger generation, but the elegant clothes, Italian accent and behavior was like the hotel staff on the show. I guess it’s because they are real Italians.

Here is a short video:

While seated at the bar, I was greeted by two handsome young professionals who were in from New York on Business. I must be honest; Beverly Hills is a wonderful neighborhood, but it does not have venues like New York and Miami where there is a booming nightlife for the crème de la crème of society in the young, single, and professional crowd.  They served French style service (the bar tender serves you).  I ordered Beef Carpaccio alla Cipriani and Baked White Tagliolini and shot of Bellini Originale.

I could feel the energy of something that is going to be the new hot spot here in Beverly Hills. Let’s be honest, when people think of going out to Beverly Hills 90210, they want to go out and meet famous actors, producers and or entertainers. If you’re on your way up like me, you hope to sit down at the bar and meet someone like Mike White the creator of The White Lotus or Sam Levinson creator of HBO Euphoria and do a little meet and greet and hope they will send you to their shows casting department. Let’s be honest you can have all the great talent agents and still never get anywhere in the business. It’s hard to meet those A -listers or people who have the power to employ you in business. I find that meeting them at a restaurant or Bar is a good option. They are usually super nice and if they have a good meal and some cocktails, they are even friendlier.! All the A-listers I met were when I was out and about in the town, and it was being in the right place at the right time which in my books means the new Hot Spot.

That is and was the magic of Los Angeles. You never knew who you could bump into and then convert! Let me tell you that it happened to me many times and I hope it happens more because those lucky breaks helped push my career forward and in this tough business you try networking everywhere.  Also, Mike White, Sam Levinson etc. I still want to work more, and I am sure there are many other hopeful actors/actresses who feel the same way. These types of restaurants create an environment where romances are started, and connections are made that are life changing. I am very thankful to the Cipriani family for opening a Los Angeles location. The entertainment community needs this more than ever! We need more social events that are for the exclusive aristocratic crowd and entertainment industry! Ever since the pandemic and (METOO) movement the social scene is very dual, and the handsome powerful men are hiding. I have been traveling the world and they are not hiding in other states or countries.  They need to come out of hibernation in LA!  I am very excited about the Jazz Bar that Cipriani is opening soon.

Cipriani

Harry’s Bar has been one of the most renowned restaurants in the world for over 90 years. An institution in the city of Venice. A meeting place for writers, artists, actors, princes and aristocrats, famous for its legendary dishes and incomparable atmosphere, always imitated and yet still unique.

The history of Cipriani Food is 90 years long. It is the result of the work of four generations who have been able to work together, guided by a common vision. The story of an Italian family, excellence in the international food sector.

BELLINI AND CARPACCIO

Giuseppe Cipriani Sr. was the inventor of Bellini and Carpaccio.
Bellini, the iconic cocktail, was invented after the end of World War II in the name of peace and freedom by mixing prosecco with a fresh white peach puree. The drink is named after the Italian Renaissance painter Giovanni Bellini (Giambellino) whose works were on display at the Doge’s Palace in Venice
at the time.

Carpaccio was created by Giuseppe Cipriani in 1950, the year of the great Vittore Carpaccio exhibition in Venice. It was inspired by Countess Amalia Nani Mocenigo, a regular customer who had been forbidden by her doctor to eat cooked meat. There are a thousand and one versions of Carpaccio, or perhaps
even more. The real Carpaccio is the one invented by Arrigo Cipriani’s father, and consists of very thin slices of beef sirloin arranged on a plate and decorated in the Kandinsky style with a sauce that at Harry’s Bar is called ‘universal’.

Cipriani is located on 362 North Camden Drive, Beverly Hills. It’s so ironic because I was with a very successful publicist for a Sunday brunch at another hotspot on Camden called “The Beverly Bar” with Melinda Manos from Manos PR. She asked me if I was dating anyone. I told her that I am single and ready to keep mingling on a Sunday afternoon. She said why don’t we go to “Cipriani” as it just opened and they have chains all over the world! As the Italians would say “Che Bella”! That’s what I felt when I walked in! Btw I did meet some handsome single men that day! Stay tuned!!!!
