I was injected into the Masquers Club in 1983 I was one of the two black members Me and Whoopi It was the second oldest actors Club in North America last night I joined the other thespians from the art deco society in a 100-year celebration of the creation of the Egyptian Theater at the Hollywood heritage society Museum it was thrilling to enter the reconstructed office of Cecil B DeMille on the hallowed ground where his first movie, the squaw man, was filmed.
As we open the door the smell of freshly printed books wasted out and each book was filled with the stories of the Hollywood I love I purchased a gorgeous Frankenstein t-shirt by vintage for only $20.
The museum is in a barn across the street from the Hollywood bowl the exhibits from Ben Hur to Charlie Chaplin lots of photos and classic movie posters from the twenties headshots of the silent movie stars the silent players in the stable from which Cecil pulled his actress.

Old cameras did everything my Samsung phone does I bet Cecil would laugh if he saw the size of the technology today. The silent movie theater seats about 10 Egyptian statues from the reconstructed and currently being retrofitted Egyptian Theater were on display. Play bills and set photography models of the Paramount studio and paintings of the maestro looking very fetching and jumpers (sweaters in English) and knee-high leather daddy riding boots did I say that Cecil B Demille was a hell of a director one of the first we sang Happy Birthday to the Egyptian Theater in one strong voice United in our admiration and thankfulness that the movies were created I hope the old Stars could hear us from here.
