Hollywood, CA (The Hollywood Times) 7/24/2023 – In honor of the Hollywood Sign’s 100th anniversary, The Hollywood Distillery Inc. has curated a special inspired menu. Established in 2016, The Hollywood Distillery was created by three local businessmen, known as the “Partners in Hooch,” who have served the Hollywood community at large. Ferris Wehbe, known for his work at the Little Red School House, Jeff Zarrinnam, for his work at The Hollywood Hotel and Larry Neuberg, known for his import and export business, have all brought their separate and unique set of skills to the project. “One of the motivations behind the distillery project was to open the first and only distillery in Hollywood. In short, to honor those before us who made Hollywood what it is today.” says Larry Neuberg.

Featured in many of the curated cocktails, is Hollywood Distillery’s own produced vodka, Oasis Vodka, the very first vodka distilled from the Medjool Date. “We teamed up with one of the biggest date farms in Los Angeles. The dates were pitted and then turned into a date syrup. Then from that date syrup, the vodka was born,” says Neuberg. “In 2019, we won a Double Gold Medal in a blind tasting at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition for Best Vodka. We are so very proud of this incredible accomplishment.”

The inspired menu features 10 cocktails including The Meet Cute Moscow Mule and California Dreamin’ Screwdriver. Neuberg shared that the inspiration for the cocktail comes from both experience and experimenting. Out of all of the cocktails on the menu, he has more than just one favorite. “My first is the Hollywood 100 Martini, the Chambord in this drink really sets it apart. I also like to drink the Oasis Vodka straight, ‘Shaken not Stirred.”
