Los Angeles, CA (The Hollywood Times) 8/21/22 – Nestled in the heart of Hollywood, MAMA Shelter is a cozy boutique hotel with beautifully decorated rooms. Its rooftop offers 360-degree views of the city, allowing guests to dine and enjoy their signature cocktails, all while taking in views spanning from downtown LA’s skyline to LA’s South Bay region.
Every Tuesday and Thursday, hotel guests and non-guests get to enjoy a quality atmosphere with Can’t Even Comedy, which provides live stand-up and music events. Founders Caitlin and Maxwell Benson wanted to step away from the traditional environment of comedy clubs by adding a contemporary SoCal vibe.
THT was pleased to attend Can’t Even Comedy’s last event at MAMA Shelter. We had the opportunity to watch some amazing comics display their talent to a chic crowd, taking in the sunset and enjoying amazing food and drinks. DJ Kay Cali was on the 1’s and 2’s, creating an unforgettable ambiance. At the same time, the host Bryan Burris kept the guest entertained with excellent segue ways in between acts. Some memorable acts from the show include; Rachel Wolfson, Tahir Moore, Caitlin Benson, Luke Walls, and Kyle Rehl.
There are many spots in LA, but not like this. Rather you’re a LA native or just passing through, we highly recommend coming out for a night full of laughs, music, terrific food, and a sunset to die for.
