Bringing Cultural Architecture to Los Angeles at Westfield Century City

0

This public exhibition, under the theme of “Island Peninsula”, is The Hong Kong Institute of Architects’ first exhibition in Los Angeles which aims to introduce the uniqueness of Hong Kong architecture to the City of Angels.  The exhibition compares the contrasting city fabrics of Hong Kong and Los Angeles to dissect the four core values underlying the unique “Hong Kong-style” architecture, namely “Glamor, Efficiency, Orderliness, and Constant Change”.

The exhibition is presented in 14 different island and peninsula landscapes and covers all sorts of developmental foundations of Hong Kong-style architecture.  All exhibits are infused not only with architectural elements, but also with literature and new media art–which make the exhibition the first of its kind!

Discover this exhibition at The Oasis on Level 1 near Tiffany & Co. for a limited time through October 2nd.  Westfield Century City is located at 10250 Santa Monica Blvd in Los Angeles.
